If you’ve ever stepped into a changing room at a gym or a high-end spa, you know the feeling. It’s damp, it’s chilly, and no matter how hard the HVAC system works, the air just feels cold. The problem is that most heaters try to warm up the air. But in a room with heavy ventilation and steam, that warm air just vanishes. It’s like trying to heat the outdoors. It means the housing is tight enough to keep out dust and can handle water being sprayed at it from any direction. We use heavy-duty silicone gaskets and sealed cable entries to keep the insides bone-dry. If those seals weren’t there, the moisture would get in, the unit would short, and you’d have a dead heater. The tricky parts It’s not all plug-and-play; there are a few things to get right. These lamps put out a lot of power to get that “five-star hotel” feel. Because of that, your wiring needs to be up to the task. If the cables are too thin, you’ll get voltage drops, and the heat won’t be where it needs to be. Placement is also a big deal. If you mount the heater too low, it’s too intense—people will feel like they’re standing too close to a campfire. Too high, and the warmth just fades away before it reaches the person.
